Reliance shares surge amid refinery capacity expansion

印度信实石油(Reliance Petroleum)的股价昨天比每股60卢比的发行价高出42.4%。信实石油是信实工业(Reliance Industries)旗下的炼油与石化集团，总部位于孟买。

Reliance Petroleum, the Mumbai-based Reliance Industries refining and petrochemicals group, yesterday saw its shares leap 42.4 per cent from the issue price of Rs60 on their stock market debut in Mumbai.

信实石油上月的首次公开发行是印度规模最大的，盘中该股票在孟买证券交易所攀升至101.95卢比的全天高点，随后收于85.45卢比。

The stock, whose initial public offering last month was the largest in India, climbed to an intra-day high of Rs101.95 on the Bombay Stock Exchange before ending at Rs85.45.

信实石油董事长穆凯什·安巴尼(Mukesh Ambani)预测，该集团目前在进行和计划进行的扩张，将使其位于贾姆纳格尔(Jamnagar)的综合设施成为“世界炼油之都”。他表示，信实石油投资60亿美元建设的这家新工厂，到2009年投产时，将成为全球最大的炼油基地。

Mukesh Ambani, chairman, forecast that the group’s expansion – both existing and planned – would make its Jamnagar complex “the crude refining capital of the world”. He said Reliance Petroleum’s $6bn greenfield facility, set to become operational by 2009, would make the complex the largest in the world.
